Ho Ho Ho

I don’t paint that much in acrylic these days but I was playing around the other day with small canvases and some acrylic. I was too impatient to use oil with longer drying time. I’m trying to get a few more of these done before an upcoming open studio. These little ornament gems are on  4×4 wrapped canvas to sit on a shelf or mantle. OLD GLORY

This is a recently painted oil on canvas of a very cool boat a friend of mine spotted up in coastal Maine. I visited her and we found again. it was moored in a little cove called the gut in South Bristol. ME.

Afternoon Delivery

After a painting session a friend and I hung around Cape Porpoise,ME. A lobsterman was delivering a truck load of lobster traps on the pier. The afternoon sun produced these fabulous shadow patterns.

Stark Shadows

This was painted in studio from a w/c sketch done at wagon hill in Durham,NH. It was a beautiful blue sky January very cold day. I loved the shadow patterns on the farmhouse.

Rainy Sunset

I was riding in a car to Exeter NH and was awed by the sunset and reflections on the wet rainy road. I knew I had to paint it.

Lobster Dock

Next to a local seafood restaurant on the Piscataqua River in Kittery ME across from Portsmouth there is a working lobster dock . This was painted PleinAir with a local group this past summer.
