After a painting session a friend and I hung around Cape Porpoise,ME. A lobsterman was delivering a truck load of lobster traps on the pier. The afternoon sun produced these fabulous shadow patterns.

This was painted in studio from a w/c sketch done at wagon hill in Durham,NH. It was a beautiful blue sky January very cold day. I loved the shadow patterns on the farmhouse.

This was from Wagon Hill in Durham, NH. I had been painting by the water and was walking up the path to go home and was struck by the shadow pattern and lit up field. Loved painting the dappled light and shadow.
