This was from Wagon Hill in Durham, NH. I had been painting by the water and was walking up the path to go home and was struck by the shadow pattern and lit up field. Loved painting the dappled light and shadow.

img_2821This is Izzy, painted for a coworker of my son who bought a pet portrait at a silent auction fund raiser. I got a wonderful thank you note from the owner and a couple bottles of wine. She gave it to her husband at Christmas. Ahh… the joy of painting!

Lightkeeper’s Garden

This oil landscape is from Marshall Point Light house, Port Clyde, Maine. The afternoon sun was lighting up the railing of the light keepers house and garden. I wonder if Forest Gump climbed those stairs.

Happily has found a new home.

This is a painting I always wanted to do after laying eyes on the storefront on Market Street in Portsmouth, NH. Eye candy. Beautiful Le Creuset enameled cast ironware in the window.  I LOVE IT.  This painting has a full grisaille under painting. Crazy detail. (Shown unframed)
