I was riding in a car to Exeter NH and was awed by the sunset and reflections on the wet rainy road. I knew I had to paint it.

Crashing Surf I, II, III

These are three separate 10×8 oil paintings of waves off the coast in Rye NH. They can be shown individually or as a triptych ( or diptych). These were a lot of fun to paint.

This painting started from a plein air study, and then later painted from the study. View from Four Tree Island , Portsmouth.NH. Prescott Park is in the background. I titled this “Cousins “ because I felt they were related.

Rolling In

This is an oil painting of some waves that kept rolling in off the NH seacoast last winter. I live in an awesome part of the country with a constant source of things to paint. The ocean does not disappoint.
